My entrepreneurial journey started in my mid 20s. I was in graduate school at the time, but I was determined to find a way to start my own online business.

 
I had recently been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune conditions, and I needed to stay at home for a while to work on my health and recover. Running a business from home sounded like the ideal scenario.

The next few years were rough, as I tried one thing after the other. I kept throwing things at the wall so to speak, hoping something would eventually stick. But nothing did.

It seemed like everyone was trying to make money online, and I continued to see people warning about “scams” and talking about how very few people can actually make it work. Basically, everyone was very discouraging.

But I was determined to make it work. I realized that the problem was me. It wasn’t that I was trying things that couldn’t work. Every business I tried to get involved in was a perfectly fine business. I was just over my head. I needed to put one foot in front of the other and stop trying to skip ahead.

I realized I needed to learn a lot more and build up my skill set.

Over the span of about 3 years, I invested around $50,000 on courses and high-level coaching programs to develop my skills, learn how to sell and market online, and fill in all the gaps that were preventing me from being successful in running an online business. In the process, I was able to learn from some of the top marketers in the world.

Today, I run multiple online businesses including a tutoring business, a print-on-demand ecommerce business, and a marketing business.

Through lots of trial and error, I made many mistakes in trying to build different online businesses. As a result, I’ve learned what tools and strategies work best and what to avoid.

I created Do The List as a way to take what all I’ve learned and help entrepreneurs build a larger following, market and sell their products and services, and more effectively use the online space for their business or brand.

 
I currently live in Texas with my beagle Orwell. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, snowboarding, and listening to music.
